Kid-Friendly

Now that I have two 5 year olds, I've been looking for things we can do together that would spike their interest. I would love to cook with them but the teeny kitchen we have doesn't allow for too many people to be in there at once. Since cake pops and the like have become such a huge trend lately, I thought it might be fun to make some with them being that it's a craft that we could move to the table. Since my recent lack of energy has come to be, I'm thinking that I may introduce the idea to them during Easter by getting bake pops at Shari's Berries and putting them into their baskets. I think it's a cute idea regardless and will probably do that to lessen the hoard of rather crummy candy lol.

Lazy

I have been quite the lethargic person lately. The only good thing about that is that I sort of have an excuse...I'm pregnant! I never really thought that I would be having another baby and pretty much thought I was done. I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet, given my anxiety that something may go wrong, but I'm happy all the same. If only I could give myself more energy so I can go back to getting things done...lol.

Asian Eyes

It's funny that eyes are such a commonly discussed feature in my family. Every gathering there is some talk about eyes and the features each of us carries in our eyes. One of them is eyelashes, or lack there of. Asians normally have very thin and almost nonexistent lashes and we are some of the first to try all the latest eyelash growth products. I myself have tried a slew of them hoping for great results. Some of them deliver while others fall flat. I love to see what companies have come out with, the technology is definitely improving.

Saving Money

I appreciate the guest post, Jewel Rodgers

I’ve been trying to save money for a house and my family’s been pitching in where they can. My brothers have been giving me some of their extra stuff month over month so I don’t have to spend so much and my sister gave me some of her old work clotheswhen I started the new job so I wouldn’t have to worry about buying a whole new wardrobe. She also came across a CLEAR promo code online for internet which I needed anyway so that was a good money saver. I don’t think I’d be able to dream this big without a great family like I have and even mom and dad are getting in on the fun and have offered me an extra $10,000 for the downpayment on the house which just puts my mind so much at ease. I love the way they all take care of me because I’m the baby…it does feel good to know you’ve got a whole team of people behind you at any given moment!

Holidays in the Hospital

My friend who is an OT and I were talking and it's kind of funny, I've always wondered what people who work in that field give each other and apparently I was wrong...they actually do give each other scrubs and medical related things! LOL She picked up some tops from http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Men/ since she wasn't sure what to get the men in her office.

She has received quite a few nursing scrub pants in the past, which I thought was rather odd, considering pants aren't usually easy to size for women. Some have worked out and some have not, lucky for her, she has thin legs or they may not have worked at all. I'm guessing it's a good thing that she gets gifts from more than just her coworkers...LOL!

Baby Bellies

It's really interesting to see how maternity wardrobe has changed since I had my kids. When I was pregnant with DS there was nothing but over-sized sweaters and leggings. When I had DD there was a better selection, I still ended up with a sweater, although it was quite a bit more fashionable. Now when you look there is a host of incredibly fashionable clothes from jeans to maternity dresses that embraces the pregnant figure, where as in the past it was hidden. It's been quite a ways we've come!

Almost Ready

I cannot wait! It's almost time to fly home for the holiday. I think the thing I miss the most is the food and it seems I can't ever stop talking about how much I miss it. I think there is probably about as many places to eat in this town as there is in one square block back home LOL. I already have a list longer than the week's worth that we will be there. I really hope we can get most of what is on there, I'm not sure I can go another 6-7 months without the diversity again lol.
