Working Like a Horse

I've been totally in my own world for the past week or two. Work is coming in like crazy as with every year around this time. It's nice knowing that as bleak as the year will look I can still afford a semi-decent Christmas for the kids.

The bad part is that the house will fall into disarray and things will get put off until it's completely too late. Right now I have medical papers to fill out that should have been sent out days ago and the house needs to start getting cleaned for Christmas Eve's party here. My work breaks involve more work and it tends to stink until after New Year's. So I go to at least vacuum and find out that we're in need of a new 115334 vacuum motor before I can actually do anything. Great. I would clean the rest of the floors but we are in dire need of a steam mop too! The last time I tried to clean those floors I had to do it with some handheld steam cleaner we were given that only lasts for about eight minutes and has no floor attachment. Yep, I was on my hands and knees scrubbing with some funky head and ended up spraining my wrist...but it SO needed to be done. *sigh* The things "we" do...
