Wrinkles, Wrinkles

I'm getting increasingly worried aobut getting wrinkles and I'm not exactly sure what to do about it. Like many other women I read all the things that books, magazines, and experts say to do for my age group but they don't say too much about what the best eye cream for wrinkles is. They may saay something like find a product with such and such in it but how do you know if it's not on the box? I've gotten so stuck on this one it's funny because I feel like I'm giving myself wrinkles reading the tiny print and worrying about it. LOL!

Caller, Are You There?

It's interesting how when you call any 1-800 number now you never know if you're calling within your own country or not with so much call center outsourcing going on. I know it's an incredibly smart financial decision but sometimes it can be so hard to understand the person that you get, not because of their accent but because of their accent...if that makes sense. LOL! What I mean is, if you or they were from the same country, chances are that you'd be familiar with the majority of accents you'd hear right? However, there are more and more people doing call center work from home in America so hopefully that stays and thrives. Lord knows we certainly need the jobs here too!

Baby Fat

I've still got my fat on me from when I was pregnant and it's driving me nuts. Really, I can't fit into anything I wore before I had her and I feel like it's sucha waste of a wardrobe...and a good one at that too. LOL I used to work in retail so I have tons of name brand clothes that I really would love to be in but haven't been able to. I've tried everything so I'm going to go with diet pills and pray that I can get it under control. The stress I'm going through certainly doesn't help any and that'll have to go as well. ;o)

Going to the Chapel...

WEll, sort of. My friend is getting married next month, on Halloween. She's not religious at all and is supposed to be Jewish so I'm not even really sure what she and her boyfriend have decided to do.

Everything with her now is all wedding stuff and she's going all crazy about it. I'm glad I don't talk to her enough to hear all the "bridezilla" stories. LOL! The last time was about getting a tuxedo or renting or something. Since I've never done anythign with weddings it's kinda hard to help or offer advice on the subject. I know the wedding will turn out nicely though, I think she already knew what she wanted a LONG time ago anyway.

Terrible Twos!

Oh man, DD's hit the twos REALLY badly a couple of weeks ago. She's never not screaming, crying, or whining. She even does it in her sleep! I'm sure it doesn't help that her speech is delayed some and it has to be frustrating too. UGH it's wearing us all down here though.

I always knew that having a second child would be like night and day in comparison to DS but WOW. She really couldn't be more different! I can't even get into the mindset that it might just be a phase and keep thinking this is how she is naturally...and it's not a good thought either. LOL! At least she looks like a cute little girl, it helps to be some what deceptive.

Get 'em Before They're Gone!

It's September and that always has one major meaning to me...Ugg boots! This is the time of year that they start shipping them out to stores and by now some styles (like the classics) are already sold out and on back order. I used to tell my customers every year to hurry up and get them now before late October comes and they're all gone already. Of course people always laughed at me rolling their eyes in disbelief. Then it was my turn to do the same when they would call me a month or so later and I would have to tell them that we were out. So, if you are looking for a new pair of boots for you, your kids, or some one you know, go get your Uggs NOW!

Cleaning Out the Clutter

This has been my MAJOR project the last few months. Since there are six of us living in this house with different schedules it's taken longer to get this to happen but slowly it's coming along. One thing that I like to do while I'm cleaning is watch HGTV or some "fix it up" channel so that I can "see" what my goal is as I'm doing it. It really helps me a lot because visualizing really only goes so far sometimes.

One really neat thing I've been seeing them do is use glass tile for back splashes in kitchens as well as bathrooms. I think it looks really cool and it really breaks up the blah looking tile that used to be used most often and add detail to something solid like granite. My mom has been "hinting" that she wants do redo the kitchen with this now too. LOL! Now that's a long shot.

Work, Work, Work...

Ugh, it's been a LONG week! I've been working like mad, cleaning, and in my spare time I sleep. LOL! Life can only get busier too as school really kicks into gear and the holidays approach. Ugh...the holidays! I can't even begin to wrap my mind around that one yet. The upside is that the money is starting to come back in as this is the best time of the year for that for me but working at home leaves little room for anything else. Even now as I sit here typing, my eyes are halfway closed and I can barely spell to save my life (thank God for spell check). Hopefully I'll have at least one interesting thing to say here before the year's out though. LOL!
