Rainbow Bridge

The one thing that's really hard about having pets is that their lifespan is so much shorter than our own. I remember when my first cat passed, it was one of the saddest things I've gone through. An old friend of mine is going through the same thing right now and it's really sad to watch. I think this was one of her first cats too. I had set up pet memorials in our yard for each animal we lost, which was pretty sad when we had to leave that house. I'm kind of glad that we don't have any right now so that I don't have to worry about the girls being too young if something were to happen to one of them. I'm sure that we'll end up having a couple at some point, but for right now I'll be happy with the freedom we have for now.
