I've been gaining a lot of weight lately and I know it's because of the way that I've been eating since I moved. My diet and eating habits have totally changed and I think it's time for a change back. I've started taking appetite suppressants again to help curb my cravings and give me a little more oomph. I'm not sure how things are going to work out during winter when it will be really be a bear to go out in the snow, so I'm hoping to get the ball rolling before then. The worst would be not losing the weight and finding out I'm pregnant. I always tend to gain around 30lbs and there's no way I can allow that to happen at where I am now. Here's to working it off!

Need a Lift?
I can recall a few times where my ex's car had broken down and we would be sitting on the side of the road. Not one person would ever stop and ask us if we needed any help and at that time, we had no way of contacting emergency roadside assistance. Where I live now, that kind of thing seems to be unusual. People here are quite courteous and will ask if we need a ride home if they see us carrying just a few too many bags. It's really nice to know that there is always someone to help if you need it and gives hope that there are still good people in the world.
Merging
Trying to combine two families isn't as easy as some would think, even if there are only four of us. It's been interesting to see how things work themselves out and how we try to manage things. Having both girls in two different schools is only slightly easier than we had predicted. The time differences and days off are taking some getting used to but I think it's working out rather well. The good bit is that there is only one district here, so holidays and things are pretty much the same for both kids. I think we're doing rather well considering what could be happening lol.

Power Up
The kids are really looking forward to Christmas already, if only we were slightly more prepared lol. One of the things I always forget to do is stock up on batteries for all of their toys. I didn't realize how crucial it was to have a stock of different sized batteries until I became a parent. Every Christmas with my son, he would open all of his toys and find out they all needed a ton of batteries. Thank goodness we always had some handy, but there were always those times where we would have to look for some in things that weren't being used. Normally we only had AA sizes but once his toys started rolling in, we found that he needed AAA ones even more. That's when I decided to buy a bunch of aaa rechargeable batteries so that we wouldn't run out so quickly, plus it's better for the environment. Now that we're in a new place, I'll be stocking up on those all over again lol.
